The Clapton Festival 2013 – some memories of a great day.
The Clapton Festival was on Saturday, Sept 28. For the most part, the weather held for what was a lovely way to end the summer. St John’s Church Gardens filled with stalls, people and a stage.
A variety of street foods and other treats from every corner of the world were available, plus clothes, jewellery, bric a brac, and even Clapton’s very own new branch of the WI were there to introduce themselves. The Hog Eyed Men opened the acts on the stage with a wonderful set of sea shanties, followed by a wide variety of music throughout the afternoon, and the closing party in the evening.
A big thank you to Barney Thomas of Wily Badger (www.wilybadger.com) and his team for another special Clapton Festival. We hope you enjoy some of the memories in the attached gallery.
