Community Day for Crime Prevention – Fri, Oct 3

Lea Bridge ward Police have been cracking down on burglary in the ward. As well as stepping up patrols in some areas and working plain clothes surveillance, they have organised a Community Day for Crime Prevention (Burglary Initiative).

They will be distributing Crime Prevention awareness leaflets in the area of Clapton Pond between 4pm and 6pm this Friday October 3, and will be available for residents to discuss issues or give information. They will be supported by Lea Bridge ward councillors Ian Rathbone, Margaret Gordon and Deniz Oguzkanli.

Leaflets have also been delivered to some streets in the ward where there have been problems to help people prevent opportunistic burglary via open windows etc, and to take recommended steps to make their property safer and more secure.
