We’ve become all arty!!

Further to the tree coming down, a reference appeared from 2009, showing that we had our own version of a BBC Two award winner, and it was being put to community use!!!!

In 2009 a four-part BBC TV series called School of Saatchi was broadcast. Young artists competed against each other, showcasing their talents, for a chance to be chosen by famous art collector Charles Saatchi to have their work shown in a worldwide renowned gallery.

The winner of the competition was Eugenie Scrase and her entry was a forerunner of our crunched railings. Full description in http://news.bbc.co.uk/…/arts_and_culture/8412705.stm.

As per the previous post about the tree coming down, our dalliance with the art was brief, although was put to good use as a noticeboard.
